What are heat guns?
Heat guns are handy and versatile power tools that are a must-have for any tool kit. Heat Guns, also known as Hot air guns, work in a similar manner to a hairdryer. They house a fan that pulls air into the body and then pushes back out through a nozzle where it passes over an electric heating element, producing heat almost instantly. Heat guns are an excellent alternative to blowtorches, as they are safer and easier to use and you won’t risk scorching surfaces.

Wallpaper and paint removal
While removing paint from timber is one of the most common jobs these tools are used for they can also be used quickly and easily loosed adhesive on wallpaper making it easier to remove. Similarly, it can be used to remove stubborn stickers from items.
Softening and Melting
Heat guns can also be used to soften and melt adhesives and putty that has hardened, making it easier to remove. It can also be used to melt candle wax spills so they can be easily wiped away.
