These are golden tubes and can last around 4500 hours, so around 2.5 years, also you can replace the bulb but would need to be fitted by an electrician correctly.

I plan to put this on an outside wall to heat my patio. How close to the soffit can I attach the patio heater? I’ve read 50cm from a ceiling but there is no ceiling as such, I’m hoping that I can attach it closer as my wall is not that high.

For the safe use of the product, the product installation position should guarantee the bottom minimum height of 1.8 metres from the ground, ceiling, roof, or other coverings minimum distance is 0.5 metres, minimum distance with both sides wall is 0.5 metres.

Hi. I’ve just purchased this heater. For my power supply, I need the power lead to be on the left side but on the heater it is on the right. Can it be installed upside down (still horizontal) so the lead is on the left?

Yes, it can be installed upside down so that the lead is on the left, it is IP rated.

Can these be installed into a pergola. It will be mounted onto the inner facias. It will be quite close to the central beams but would be pointed towards the seating. Thanks

Can you switch one of the elements off altogether ? Or do you have to have both set at 1000w to get the least heat from the unit?

There is only one element in this patio heater. Choosing 1000W will run the element at low setting, which is the least heat.

This says all weather. Does that mean it can literally be screwed to a west facing wall and therefore suffer usual UK rain and wind and frost. (We are not near the sea btw)

This patio heater is IP65 rated. The first number is ingress protection against solid foreign objects and 6 means it is dust tight. The second number is the ingress protection against water and 5 means it is protected against low pressure jets of water from all directions, so this should withstand UK weather conditions.

The cable is relatively short. If I want to have my electrician put a longer cable on rather than have a join, or extension cable which might be unsafe for a 3kw unit, will that prejudice the guarantee?

Yes, this will invalidate the warranty.

There are two elements on this unit. Is there a remote for each element?

There is only one element in this patio heater. The remote control has separate buttons to choose either 1000W (low setting), 2000W (medium setting) and 3000W (high setting).

If I have two units, will they have independant remotes or will one remote operate both
