This unit includes a quick-stop brake system allowing you to easily switch between drilling and screwing. A delayed off function allows you to check your work when the trigger is released. Both the 4orce Impact Driver and Cordless drill use brushless motors for improved energy efficiency and improved overall performance than standard brushed motors. As brushless motors do not lose energy due to the friction caused by brushes rubbing against components they can run on batteries for up to 50% longer, they also allow for a higher torque to weight ratio which increases torque per watt power input and are less susceptible to mechanical wear in comparison with brushed motors.
