As spring arrives, many of us will start to think about spending more time in our gardens and while that’s an exciting prospect, it may be necessary to attend to a few jobs now that the worst of winter weather has passed, to get our gardens looking their best.
If painting fence panels, garden furniture, sheds, summer houses, or garages is part of those plans, you really ought to think about investing in a paint sprayer. Here are two new models from MYLEK that can help you breeze through these garden projects.
MYLEK Compakt Cordless Paint Sprayer
If you don’t want to be tethered to a power source or want to move freely around any items you are painting then this is the perfect paint sprayer for you. It’s cordless and lightweight so moving around with it is really easy. You don’t even have to worry about being mega organised either as the battery charges fully in just 2 hours. This then lasts for ages plus it has a charge indicator so you can keep an eye on it throughout use. 3 spray nozzles mean it’s suitable for a variety of applications and the 1 litre paint capacity allows you to keep working without interruption. It can be used with a wide range of products too from paint to solvent, primer and varnish.

If you’re reading this and thinking ‘but do I really need a sprayer?’, then you need to consider all the benefits a paint sprayer has over a traditional brush.
For a start, it gives you a much more even finish. No bristle marks and no areas that are thicker or thinner than others, just really even and consistent coverage. You also pretty much eradicate drips. Because you’re spraying a light, even coat of atomised paint, it just doesn’t drip like standard paint applied with a brush and nothing can spoil all your efforts of painting a fence or shed than drip marks (and with fencing, it’s really hard to avoid drips on the reverse side as the paint seeps through the gaps – you don’t get that with a sprayer).
Probably the biggest advantage that a paint sprayer offers you is speed. It will cover areas in half the time so when you’re talking about great lengths of fence or large garden buildings, this can save you hours. They’re also really good for covering uneven surfaces. Try painting a pebble dashed garage or wall with a brush and see how well it comes out; a brush will never cover a rough surface like that with multiple depths effectively, but a sprayer will evenly coat each tiny stone.
Don’t be worried that they’re difficult to use either. While the outcomes you achieve will be highly professional, anyone can easily get to grips with the tool. Just have a little practice on some card or paper and you’ll soon get to understand the different nozzle spray options and perfect your technique. Plus, they’re great fun to use, so much so you’ll be looking for what else you can paint!
